Community Involvement
Christchurch FoodBank+ is located in the Old Chapel at St Joseph's Church, Purewell. We are a partnership with Faithworks Wessex, serving those people of Christchurch who find themselves in crisis and unable to buy food.
The Foodbank is now a Foodbank+: through its other projects such as Furniture Bank, cooking on a budget workshops, Budget and money management and Homeless Drop-in, the Foodbank+ assists people in the community on their journey out of crisis.
Tinned and packet foods are donated by individuals, Churches, schools, local businesses and through supermarket collection points. A supply of food is provided to a client who has been given a voucher by one of nearly 90 referring agencies in the Christchurch area. The FoodBank+ is manned by wonderful volunteers from our churches and local community.

The Water Lily Project is a Christian charity that is passionate about supporting and empowering women across Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole, helping them back to independent living. We are committed to providing practical and emotional support to women in crisis, with a focus on those who are escaping domestic abuse or struggling with mental health issues.
We believe that every woman is a valuable and deserving individual who deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. Our charity is motivated by a desire to show love, care, and empathy to those in need, and to provide a safe and non-judgmental environment for all our beneficiaries.
We also run a community cafe which provides a safe and welcoming space for women to connect with each other and the wider community.
